Marriage Certificate Issuance
Purpose: Provides an official proof of legal marriage
Civil Registration
This service allows married couples to obtain an official Marriage Certificate as proof of legal marriage registration. The certificate may be required for administrative procedures such as name changes, family benefits, visa applications, or inheritance matters. Certified copies can be requested at any time after the marriage registration has been completed.

Documents Needed
For newly registered marriages
- Valid photo ID of both spouses (national ID card or passport)
- Marriage registration confirmation issued by the officiating authority
- Proof of residence (utility bill or rental contract, last 3 months)
- Application form (available online or at the counter)
For duplicate or certified copies
- Applicant’s valid photo ID
- Reference number or details of the marriage registration (date and place)
- Authorization letter and ID copies (if requested by a third party)
Steps to Be Taken to Benefit from the Service
- Prepare documents according to your request type (new or duplicate).
- Submit your application online, by mail, or in person at a Civil Status Office.
- Verification of submitted data and confirmation of registration records.
- Payment of applicable fees (if any).
- Certificate issuance – receive a printed or digital certified copy of the marriage certificate.
Fees required
- First issuance (upon marriage registration): No fee
- Certified duplicate or additional copy: 20 currency per copy
- Urgent processing (optional, subject to eligibility): +25 currency surcharge
- Official translation or legalization (optional): Charged separately, per page
Certain exemptions or fee reductions may apply for low-income applicants or special cases
Method of Applying
Online:
Complete the electronic form on the official portal, upload required documents, and pay securely by card. Choose collection at office or postal delivery.
In person:
Visit any Civil Status Office counter during working hours. Bring originals and copies of the required documents. Payment can be made at the cashier desk or POS terminal.
By post (duplicates only):
Send a signed request form, certified copies of the required documents, and proof of payment. Include a return envelope with your address for postal delivery..

- Standard processing: 3–5 working days after submission
- Urgent processing: Within 24–48 hours (if applicable)
- Postal delivery: Add 2–3 working days for mail transit
